The mission of GD Goenka is to bring out the best in each student. Hence, the main purpose of education here is the holistic development of the children so that they are ready to face the world when they grow up. As important as it is to learn Math and English, it is equally necessary that Goenkans in school get a chance to participate in the co-curricular activities as well and therefore they are given an exposure with planned field trips . Giving equal weightage to both indoor as well as outdoor activities is what will make children well prepared for what lies outside in the real world. We as a progressive school strongly feel that tours and trips contribute to a well-rounded education.
At GDGPSB we provide students an opportunity to apply academic learning to real-life events through community service projects. It helps in building relationships and social connectedness and also exposes our students to diversity and multiculturalism. It Improves lifelong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.

Some of the most important reasons to participate in our outdoor travelling program are: –
- Field trips allow students to interact with what they are learning.
- Field trips allow students direct access to tools and environments that they otherwise wouldn’t have contact within the four walls of their school.
- Leaving the classroom for a field trip places students in a different social environment. They get to meet a new set of adults and possibly interact with other children during the course of the field trip. These new interactions give them a vital lesson on how to behave in different settings.
- It is common knowledge that children are easily distracted and bored. School field trips build in children a different level of excitement and fun. It gives them something to look forward to.
